Dear Friend of Franck’s Pharmacy:
We value your trust more than anything, so we are honor-bound to tell you about sobering news relating to Franck’s Pharmacy. You may have read or heard recently about the tragic loss of 21 polo ponies in Palm Beach and that Franck’s Pharmacy prepared some medications that were administered to those horses before their polo match. As soon as we learned of the tragic incident, we conducted an internal investigation that was led by an outside lawyer and, upon its conclusion, we immediately alerted the state Department of Health and Board of Pharmacy. The report, which we are furnishing to these agencies, concluded that the strength of an ingredient in the medication was incorrect. We will cooperate fully with the authorities as they continue their investigations.
Because the matter is now under investigation by state and local agencies, we are legally constrained from giving you more details about this specific incident. We can tell you, however, that Franck’s has been providing patients, physicians and veterinarians with custom medications for more than 25 years.
Furthermore, we want to assure you that this investigation will not interfere in any way with the service and quality you have come to expect from Franck’s Pharmacy.
We understand that this incident may cause you some concern. Indeed, it concerns us deeply as well. All we ask is that if you have any questions about the services we are providing you, please give us a call.
