Speaker profile: Dr. Mary Beth Whitcomb

Dr. Mary Beth WhitcombTopic: Maximizing the value of intralesional injections

Dr. Whitcomb has been the Section Head of the Large Animal Ultrasound Service at UC Davis since 1999.  With the help of her colleague, Dr. Betsy Vaughan and LA ultrasound fellows-in-training, the service sees approximately 1200 cases annually and trains 20-30 veterinary students during their 4th year clinical rotations.  Dr. Whitcomb is a frequent presenter at regional and national veterinary conferences on diverse topics relating to equine ultrasonography.  She draws upon 10 years of teaching experience as a dedicated ultrasonographer to deliver unique presentations that simulate the ultrasound examination and enhance the learning environment for participants of all levels of experience.
